Well, from the first dune trip running the paddles I found out that the paddles were rubbing the Rear Bypass shocks. We thought we'd clear them but Found out we didn't:eek2:
We were also hitting the rear fender REAL bad. So bad that we took some chunks out of the paddles and ripped out one of the Dzus fastners.

We also were cycling the front suspension so much that it cought the hood and cracked it. So being the guiness I am, I just ripped it off and made it look worse.

Todd came over and did some more mods to it last night so I'll be dialed in for Pres. weekend. We knew we had to make new rear fender mounts so this is what todd came up with.

Old rear fender mount

New Fender mount with higher dzus mount and fenders cut higher

Old Hood - before cutting up

New High cut- not much left and I'm not digging it too much. I'm sure it will grow on me though

Today I went by King Shocks and picked up some new stickers for the rear shocks. Man it took awhile to get all that rubber and old sticker off

I also picked up the paddles from getting custom cut. This should allow more wheel spin and get me into my R's faster

King needs 2 weeks to custom make new top caps that will allow the res. to sit in another 1/2" so I bought some 1/2" wheel spacers to get me by for the weekend. That should keep the tire off the rear shocks. Really not the way I wanted to do it but Glamis is calling and I need to answer

Ok, So after driving my rhino/rail in Glamis at night I found out that it was VERY hard to find the Actuator switch while driving. I knew all my switches would be real close. such a small dash didn't leave me with much options. I looked everywhere for litted up rocker switches and I didn't find anything that I really like. So I came up with these LED's.
When I build my next dash (so I can lay out my switches different) I'm going to add a LED above every switch. Until then this should solve my problem.

I also relocated the fuel filter to the front fire wall so I can easily change the filter while out in the dunes. This should now be a 5 min. swap instead of 45 min. Well worth the $72. braided hose.

Also think I got the GPS working !!
as always, here's some pics.

Ok, So after the last Glamis night ride I came to realize that the HID lights I was running weren't cutting it. I was running 8000K temp bulbs at 35W but only 2 of them would work. So I tossed those in the trash and went with new 55W Ballast and Bulbs in a 6000K Light temp. I also went with the new Slim ballast to cut down some weight and make a little more room between the light housings. Here's some pics of the old and new set up.

Old:

NEW:

I temp strapped everything on with tie-wraps and wired them up, Then plugged it in to make sure everything works.

Then I drilled out the holes to mount the Ballast and installed some SS Socket heads bolts and Nylon nuts for a more secure and better looking mount.

Also installed a New battery & Battery Cut off switch so my GPS doesn't run down my battery.
